College Spun put together projected the win total for every SEC team on Monday and they have LSU finishing the season 9-3 (5-3). Here is what they had to say about the Tigers:

LSU (9-3, 5-3): LSU needs to reload. It lost its starting quarterback, its starting running back, its two top wide receivers and several members of its defense. This should make its opening game against Wisconsin in Houston, along with its trips to Auburn and Texas A&M, really difficult. The Tigers also travel to the Swamp to take on Florida, and have a huge game against Alabama midway through the season. Star freshman tailback Leonard Fournette better be the real deal.

However, if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that you should never bet against the maniacally brilliant mind of Les Miles. LSU is still loaded with talent, and brings in the No. 2 recruiting class in America, according to Rivals. Long story short, we don’t expect LSU to win fewer than eight games for the first time during Miles’ tenure, but we’re not sure the Tigers are national title contenders.
Complete Projections:

South Carolina 11-1 (7-1)
Georgia 10-2 (6-2)
Missouri 8-4 (4-4)
Florida 7-5 (4-4)
Vanderbilt 6-6 (2-6)
Tennessee 4-8 (1-7)
Kentucky 3-9 (0-8)

Alabama 12-0 (8-0)
Auburn 11-1 (7-1)
LSU 9-3 (5-3)
Texas A&M 9-3 (5-3)
Ole Miss 8-4 (4-4)
Mississippi State 7-5 (3-5)
Arkansas 4-8 (0-8)

I have lost what little faith that I had left in these preseason predictions. I hope that Coach Cam get the offense up to the level of the defense so that LSU can be the next team to expose these simpletons.

Alabama will lose three games this season. The real issues they face on offense are loses in key areas up front. This is the first year those great RBs won't be running behind an NFL-quality OL. Auburn will likely drop 2 or 3. The loss of Tre Mason will be harder to replace than Jeremy Hill at LSU.
LSU is a mystery. 9-3 sounds safe- but if the incoming talent happens to develop faster than expected, don't be shocked by 10 or even 11 wins.

Lol Bama lost WAY more on Defense and offensive line than we did. Plus they are replacing a QB with a guy that doesn't have any meaningful college football experience. Yet they go undefeated and we have the question marks and we lose at least 3. Lol ok

While it needs to replace several players who left for the NFL, that’s never been an issue for Bama under Nick Saban, as the team constantly reloads with top recruiting classes when it loses talent.

I guess the 2010 season never happened......

" LSU needs to reload. It lost its starting quarterback, its starting running back, its two top wide receivers and several members of its defense"
"Alabama 12-0 (8-0)"
The double standard is pretty disgusting.
