We are only a few days away from the start of the College Football season and the finishing touches at Tiger Stadium are being finalized this week.

Garrett Walvoord of Cox4 Louisiana posted this picture on Twitter of the new grass field that was laid down recently in Tiger Stadium:

Time for the field crew to go to work and get it all painted for Saturday.

Turf in Tiger Stadium has been terrible last few years. Always looked soggy even if it had not rained. Normal strides looked like they too sand wedge divots out of the grass. Hopefully this is better.

how many inches of sand are underneath. I remember Joe Dean being cheap and only putting 6 inches of sand underneath instead of 12 inches of sand.

Looks best when they roll it every 5 yards to give it that light and dark alternating look.
