Can someone explain to me how it's OK for a member of the media to lobby for someone to be hired as a coach, and assist the coach with his presentation? Not understanding this. I am OK w/ hiring Coach O, and nothing but the best for him ... I just don't understand this. Is the media supposed to report the news, not affect the news?

Derek Ponamsky was hired by Coach O to help with PR when he was appointed interim HC. This is exactly what he was supposed to do, and it worked. It showed Aleva that PO had a plan and Aleva judged the plan to be a good one with a good chance of success.
