John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports
Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy told the Tulsa World on Tuesday that if the Cowboys would of played LSU in the 2011 National Championship, they would have won by three touchdowns:
quote:Oklahoma State fell out of the title hunt in 2011 when they lost to Iowa State 37-31 in overtime at the end of the season. The Cowboys ended up playing Stanford in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and won 41-38.
If OSU’s 2011 Big 12 championship team had been matched with LSU in the BCS title game, Gundy said, “I don’t think there’s any question that we would have won by three touchdowns. ... We could score with anybody."
