During his weekly press conference on Monday morning, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said that No. 19. Auburn (8-3) this weekend will be the "best team we've played, probably, so far this year."

Which is an interesting comment considering the Tide lost to No. 1 LSU (11-0) a few weeks ago in Tuscaloosa...

Defensively, no question. This is easily the best we have played. Not offensively.

He's not wrong. Playing LSU while having Tua versus playing Auburn without Tua? Auburn can have their shittiest team in 50 years and will still play Bama tough. Tua is Heisman-level, his loss hurts them badly. The only thing worse for them than playing Auburn without Tua would be playing LSU without Tua.

All out to motivate his team; a loss in this one definitely puts the tide out of the picture.

Me too, ditto to that. hope he is right to where bama can not get it going on auburn offensively. Hope a miracle comes alive for Auburn's offense like what I saw vs this past weekend

I understand the backlash that Saban is getting here and in my strong opinion he should have said “Auburn is the best DEFENSE Bama will play” because that is accurate. But obviously LSU is the best team we have played.

I wish everyone would relax and wait until after Saturday to get freaked out about Bama making the playoffs. This probably is all a moot point because I’m not looking forward to the Iron Bowl.

Bamagreycoat, Saturday won't get Bama in even if Bama wins vs Auburn. There are other teams out there who will have 1 loss but have a conference title. Bama has an entitlement attitude but doesn't deserve to be in the CFP.

Building up Auburn because Bama's schedule is so damn weak that they have no power wins. LSU derailed Saban's bullshite train because now they don't have a win over LSU to boost their resume' and they don't get to play UGA. Screw you Nick. Ha-ha-ha-ha!!
