As expected, LSU pass rusher Arden Key will forgo his senior season to enter the 2018 NFL Draft. The 6-6, 250-pound Key is projected to be first-round draft pick despite a rocky junior season. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Key, a Georgia native, set the single-season school sack record (12) in 2016 as a sophomore before a drama-filled junior year produced 4 sacks and five missed games. Coach Ed Orgeron announced earlier this month that Key would not participate in the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame, citing his star’s health.

Key missed the final two games of the regular season with a knee injury, and he underwent surgery on a broken pinky finger immediately after the regular season.
The Lithonia, GA native went public with his draft decision on Twitter:

Nothing says sincerity like the notes app

Yeah what the hell is with this? Why do they always use the note app?

Because its the "easiest" way to skip the twitter character limit. Just write what you want to say on the notes app and take a screenshot and upload the screenshot. Its definitely not formal looking but it works.

Honey Badger 2.0, amazing freshman and sophomore years then the glorious green got the best of em. Hopefully he turns into a great pro like Mathieu. Good luck Key! It has been fun!

“After much consideration”, last year I suspect. Had one breakout season and decided to ride that all the way to a first rd. draft pick. Can’t blame him. Big life changing money awaits. I just wish athletes would come out and say they’re going pro and it was an easy choice. I don’t hold anything against Arden and I wish him a long and prosperous career. Thanks for being a Tiger!

No big surprise. Unfortunately, he has all kinds of talent, but I look for him to go in the supplemental. Just a terrible year.

Rofl. You are special my dude. He is a top 15 pick.

No way he goes in top 15. Way to many unknowns with his work ethic, off field issues, and NFL already knows he can't play with more weight than he is carrying now...which makes him undersized for his position.

Why is this even on the front page? This isn't news. It has been well known since before the season started.

Maybe because it's actually happening now?
