Brian Kelly revealed on his radio show that wide receiver Kyle Parker is out for the season with a torn tendon in his tricep.

Parker, a redshirt sophomore from Allen, Texas, was expected to have a big role in LSU's offense this season but got off to a slow start after suffering a UCL injury vs. USC in the opener.

He missed the Nicholls game to recover and played in LSU's last three games, catching two passes for 49 yards and one touchdown.

Parker joins the growing list of key LSU players who have suffered season-ending injuries this year, including running back John Emery, defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory, and linebacker Harold Perkins.

There has to be something to these injuries. This many season ending injuries on one time is not normal. Need research done on our training methods for sure! I understand injuries happen in football but we have far more than the average.

I don't think that means he is leaving though. I think he did request to redshirt, but just to give him another year because of the way this season has gone for him.
