LSU wide receiver Drake Davis was arrested Friday, August 17 and charged with second-degree battery. Davis is accused of breaking a former girlfriend's ribs in April and has been suspended indefinitely from the football team. Per NOLA.com:

According to a copy of the arrest warrant obtained by NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, Davis is accused of breaking a former girlfriend's ribs in April and then strangling, punching and ripping an earring from her ear in June.

There was also an accusation of an incident from May 2017. According to the victim, she and Davis dated from January 2017 until last week, when they broke up on Aug. 10.

Im not sure this comment is really conveying the message you intended because personally I would gladly lose our 1st string QB that was extremely limited in his passing ability in exchange for an undefeated regular season including a win @ BAMA, an SEC Championship and a berth in the National Championship Game. I would think EVERY SINGLE LSU FAN would consider that an extremely successful season even if LSU ultimately lost the NC Game. Especially considering our brutal schedule this year (kind of like LSU's 2011 schedule)!!!!
