Multiple sources are reporting that LSU senior tight end Dillon Gordon was stabbed multiple times during a “major incident” at Reggie’s bar in the early hours of Tuesday.

Gordon was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge and is in stable condition. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Multiple sources – one who witnessed the fight – said the person transported was Gordon, a 22-year-old senior tight end and three-year starter for the Tigers. A source said Gordon suffered three stab wounds to the chest and is in stable condition. Another source said Gordon suffered stab wounds to the leg, as well, and the abdomen.
Gordon, a senior from Edgard, La. missed most of the 2015 season with an achilles injury and is seeking a medical redshirt which would grant him a fifth year of eligibility.

Here is the update coach Les Miles released on Tuesday:

Does Sports (n/k/a Reggie's) still have .25 shots on Monday nights? That could help explain the timing of this incident.

Legend holds that I did about 15 peppermint schnapps shots there (I ran out of my one $5 bill, tipping like an OT-Baller) one ill-fated evening a .25 century ago and couldn't brush my teeth for a month without retching something fierce.

"@Mulerider - why pull politics into a sports story? You're argument is also terribly flawed but I don't care to argue this topic"

I can't tell if you yourself are being sarcastic or are actually that incredibly dimwitted.

@ Mulerider: Ban knives.. Right.. Because banning drugs has worked out so well.. You haven't figured out that when the government "bans" something, only the good, law-abiding citizens are the ones who actually gives them up. Not idiots like this who will use them to harm others. I can see it already.. criminals lining up to turn in their weapons.. because Obama said so.. /sarc Common sense isn't so common anymore..

college athletes and pro athletes for that matter need to stay out the night life. There is nothing good that comes out of it.

Obama needs to ban knives and bars. Hopefully DG has a speedy recovery and this is not a life threatening or career threatening injury.
