Quarterback Myles Brennan announced Thursday that he is removing his name from the NCAA transfer portal and will remain at LSU.

Brennan, a senior from Long Beach, Miss., was LSU's starting quarterback in 2020 but suffered a season-ending lower-body injury in Week 3 vs. Missouri.

He was getting ready to compete for the starting spot this past season but broke his non-throwing arm during a freak accident when he fell during a fishing trip just before LSU's fall camp was set to begin.

He announced in November his intentions to enter the transfer portal but now the loyal Tiger is staying in Baton Rouge.

The news means that LSU is currently heading into next year with three scholarship quarterbacks: Brennan, freshman Garrett Nussmeier, and Walker Howard.

It's is unknown at the moment whether or not Brennan will play in the Texas Bowl as the Tigers are still figuring out who will start at the position vs. Kansas State due to Nussmeier's redshirt concerns.

Update: It's been reported that Brennan will not play in the Texas Bowl.

Poor MB snakebit with injuries, self inflicted or not. Hopefully he’ll have a great senior season and make Max Johnson a distant memory!

Can’t play then put him a big plastic bubble and get the WRs on the field at night with pass machine count up to 10,000 so when Myles does we are ready to go ! ! !

Always loved this kid. He has been the most loyal Tiger and I was very disappointed when he entered the portal. I'm glad he decided to say.

He was very disappointed as there was very little interest in him by other teams. Hence why he is coming back. Even foxnews reported this. LINK

2022 is gonna be a good year boys. Brennan will be a 4,000 yard passer with 40+ td passes and be in the mix for Heisman consideration by seasons end. Only thing that could stop him is injuries.

Lets FN GEAUXXXXX! Thank you for your years of continued commitment to LSU and the state of Louisiana young man. I wanted Myles to be the starter over Max. Crazy to think of all the changes over the years and bad luck Myles has gone through over the years. Ecstatic he's coming back to take his rightful place now that Max took his ball and walked out. Good to see some guys actually bleed for the the purple and gold. Brennan had a lot of tough breaks. He has weathered the storm and I can't wait to watch him next season under Brian Kelly. Let's ride.

Whatever negativity people want to put out there about his decision to come home, I remember this man getting beat up as a brave freshman thrown into action. I also remember him supporting and standing by Joe Burrow. And I remember wondering what could have been if he hadn’t been injured when his time finally came. He is a Tiger. The world would not be right if he finished his eligibility somewhere else.

lol when he entered the portal people were saying he sucked and calling him Mr. Glass — now all the sudden he’s Burrow 2.0

You’ll never find a post from me saying anything close to him being Burrow 2.0.
