LSU Quarterback Myles Brennan Is Staying With The Tigers

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports
Quarterback Myles Brennan announced Thursday that he is removing his name from the NCAA transfer portal and will remain at LSU.
Brennan, a senior from Long Beach, Miss., was LSU's starting quarterback in 2020 but suffered a season-ending lower-body injury in Week 3 vs. Missouri.
He was getting ready to compete for the starting spot this past season but broke his non-throwing arm during a freak accident when he fell during a fishing trip just before LSU's fall camp was set to begin.
He announced in November his intentions to enter the transfer portal but now the loyal Tiger is staying in Baton Rouge.
The news means that LSU is currently heading into next year with three scholarship quarterbacks: Brennan, freshman Garrett Nussmeier, and Walker Howard.
It's is unknown at the moment whether or not Brennan will play in the Texas Bowl as the Tigers are still figuring out who will start at the position vs. Kansas State due to Nussmeier's redshirt concerns.
Update: It's been reported that Brennan will not play in the Texas Bowl.
