LSU Pulls In Top-Ranked Wide Receiver Class For 2018
by TD Staff ReporterFebruary 8, 2018
LSU signed four talented wide receivers during the 2018 recruiting cycle, giving the Tigers the top-ranked receiver class, according to 247 Sports.
Here's a look at LSU WR class for 2018:
5-star Terrace Marshall (6-4, 186-pounds) from Bossier City, LA (Parkway HS)
5-star JaMarr Chase (6-1, 192) from Metairie, LA (Rummel)
4-star Kenan Jones (6-3, 205-pounds) from Berwick, LA (Berwick HS)
4-star Jaray Jenkins (6-1, 175) from Jena, LA (Jena HS)

Best Receivers Class:
Ed Orgeron compared his receiver haul of Terrace Marshall and JaMarr Chase — who are both 5-star players in the Top247 rankings — to LSU’s one-time duo of Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry. It’s a tough competition this year for best receiver class. It’s hard not to love what USC is bringing in in Amon-Ra St. Brown and Devon Williams, or what Clemson’s got going for it with Derion Kendrick and Justyn Ross. I think Chase is one of the safest bets in the 2018 class, while Marshall is a prototype and we shouldn't sleep on Kenan Jones who could be big-time as well.

I still can't understand why a top WR would sign with LSU, but hope it works out for the best!

Surtain fricking us over hurts. He lost is Goodrich, too. But we got our safety and a HELL of a receiver core. With them, a beefy Oline, and presumably a competent Brennan, our offense should make strides this year!

Of course it hurts but we will be just fine. Our offense will have a solid passing game. Like one we haven’t seen in a long time.
