During the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday, coach Les Miles sent a strong message to any of his players that might be considering doing the "Lambeau Leap" on Saturday...

Leaping into the stands is against NCAA rules and would result in a 15-yard penalty.

A few LSU players have previously expressed interest in doing the customary "Lambeau Leap" celebration if they score. Sounds like that wont be happening now.

I'm sure if LF7 did the leap and put his thumb out after the game some Baton Rouge bound LSU fans would give him a ride in a NY second.

Les can't win. On one hand people say his team is undisciplined. Then the next, fans want the players to be undisciplined.

The Miami teams of the 80s were ridiculous, but so is taking all of the fun out of the game. The lambeau leap is a tradition, and has nothing to do with showboating. Les is right, can't condone bending the rules. However, the ncaa should be ashamed of themselves for this and many of their other ridiculous rules.

Remember when you graduated from high school and the principal grinned and said "whatever you do, I would expect no one to throw their hats in the air at the end of the ceremony"...just sayin.

And you were done with that school and that principal so it cost you what?

Just do it after the win. Big deal

LF will absolutely do it if he gets a TD late. He won't risk playing time too early in the game.

Disagree. LF learned his lesson when he dropped the Heisman pose as a freshman.

50% chance a player does the Lambeau Leap. 100% chance the LSUAD uses it in promotional pics/videos if it does happen

If anyone does the leap in Section 133 I'll give them my plane ticket home.

Miles better worry about not screwing this up or he'll be the one with his thumb in the air...

Yeah, Guice & Fournette are hitchiking home. Got it.

Someone will do the leap. No one will be walking home. Probably just some suicides at practice.

I wish it weren't a rule, but since it is, how incredibly selfish it would be to put yourself above the team and get a 15 yard penalty which may or may not affect the outcome of the game. Tre'davious White says he's going to do it if he has the chance knowing the consequences will be bad. How selfish. LINK "I'm pretty much just open to whatever punishment that's going to come my way Monday," White told reporters. "It's going to be bad, but I feel like, it's just a dream of mine. Whatever Coach Miles has in store, I'm pretty sure it's going to be some bad things. I'm ready to do it. It's my last year. I want to make some memorable moments."

Meh. I'm not going to get upset with White before he actually does anything wrong.

If he has a pick six or PR for a TD, im ok with him sitting out a quarter against Jacksonville State lol but i do hear you its about the team. If they were going to do it they should have just did it and not say anything about it before Coach finds out

Punt return, kick return, or a pick 6 deserves a leap

Sounds like something Sabin would say. Come on coach let the boys have some fun. Unless it's the fourth quarter and a close game I say let them jump and take the 15 yards.

God forbid anyone have any fun while there. Let them do the leap. It would be awesome.

Brad Wing would have done it if given the opportunity.

Some LSU fan traveling back from Lambeau would probably be more than happy to bring them back.
