LSU defensive lineman Maquedius Bain, who was reinstated to the team on Friday after being suspended for the past month, announced via Twitter Monday afternoon that he will be transferring.

LSU has confirmed the news.

Bain, a former four-star recruit from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was part of LSU’s rotation at defensive tackle in 2015 and transitioned to defensive end this spring.

As a redshirt freshman last season, Bain finished the year with six tackles and a pass breakup.
