LSU assistant coach Eric Mateos will be leaving the program to become the offensive line coach at Texas State.

Mateos served as an assistant offensive line coach under Jeff Grimes but was promoted to interim tight end coach when Ed Orgeron took over as coach.

Mateos was a grad assistant for three seasons at Arkansas before joining LSU staff last February.

I have never heard of this guy and certainly didn't know he was on our coaching staff. Shouldn't be a big deal. How many coaches do we have. I thought we were only allowed 9? No wonder O hasn't named a special teams coach yet!
