His entire comment was actually complimentary to Nick Saban (i.e., referring to him as one of three "giants" in NCAA "major sports" in the past half century. I think the part that sounds disrespectful was merely said jokingly.

People really should listen to the clip before commenting. Pretty obvious he was joking.

Really like him as an AD.

That was just a fun lighthearted comment. I'm sure Skip loved it and I'm glad Woodward is choosing a good mentor.

Loved it, and the higher IQ Skip was a great line. As a coach once said about saban, and i paraphrase (Spurrier) he ain't doing nothing great at bama, hell they've always won there. Enough said

Yeah the early 2000’s were great for Alabama. All that winning they did was incredible. Just proves how anybody can do it

Some thin skinned trds here. That was said in jest, as he complimented three men.

Saban and family loved BR and he absolutely regrets leaving. He knew shortly after getting to Miami he had messed up.

I agree with the sentiment, but how long has it been since we beat Alabama?

I love it. I'd have liked for him to have thrown in a Saban "short" joke, for good measure. LOL

He tried to leave Bama for Texas but Mack Brown got his lawyers to threaten Saban even though Mack was on his way out at Texas

Threaten him? With what?

Saban does not regret anything.

Regret is an emotion exclusive to human beings.

Nick Saban loves winning more than almost anything. One of the things he loves more than winning is being the most powerful, and smartest, mofo in the room. He will never get that in Baton Rouge thanks to LSU's President and staff always wanting to feel important. But in Alabama, he gets that. He hates Gumps, always has. Why do you think he coaches, wins, and does not go out and celebrate with the fans. He hates them. lol

The difference between Alleva and Woodward is that Alleva would not have been joking.

Just a stupid quote. Glad he’s our AD, though.

What’s he got to regret really?

Mrs. Terry hates Gumps. $20 million per year gets him back.

He does, too. Can you imagine what he has to put up with?
