Lincoln Riley Was Asked About The LSU Job Rumors On Tuesday

It's no secret that Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley is being mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Ed Orgeron at LSU.

On Tuesday, Riley was asked about the LSU rumors and responded with this:

Riley, a native of Lubbock, Texas, has been at Oklahoma since 2015 when he was the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach under Bob Stoops. He was promoted to head coach in 2017 when Stoops retired.

In his four complete seasons as head coach, Oklahoma has won the Big 12 three times which resulted in trips to the College Football Playoffs. The Sooners, however, are 0-3 in those playoff games.

Riley, 38-years old, has an overall head coaching record of 54-9. Oklahoma is currently 9-1 this season.

He never said he wasn’t going to leave OU. He also didn’t say he wasn’t going to coach for LSU.

If new HC is and X’s and O’s guy that will, genuinely, take responsibility for his team’s execution, and not throw his staff under the bus, LSU will be back on top. College players need to have fun, while upholding their on the field assignments. A good coach use every resource possible to motivate his staff and team. He knows who and when to give tough love, to keep his followers on task. Of all of the candidates mentioned, the question is who will meet that standard and who is in the position to say yes to the LSU HC job.

Riley is the best fit for LSU. He is young and hungry to win a championship. Great recruiter especially QBs, the last 2 years he recruited the #1 QB. He can run the Brady offense which no one else can. Just needs a great DC. Maybe LSU has the DC already.

Do any of you idiots seem to remember we had the same qb and receivers in 2018, and all of a sudden 2019 comes around and they’re the best offense in college football history?! Was it magic?! Good Lord, I know you’re all butt hurt over Brady leaving, but give credit where credit is do. There is No record breaking season without Brady arriving here, period! The transformation of our offense in one season was historic for everyone who has ever studied offenses.
