NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw went on the record last week and told LSU sophomore Brandon Harris that he should be starting when the season begins in September.

After practice on Tuesday, LSU head coach Les Miles addressed those comments and responded with this, per NOLA.com:
quote:

"Certainly those people that have a feel and a want for a guy, or an understanding of football would like to render an opinion," Miles said after LSU's Tuesday spring football practice. "Opinions are all worthy. It's just that we - we - have to make those decisions. It's our responsibility to win games."

"LSU's Offense has been anemic for far too long.."

In 2013 LSU had a 3000 yd passer, 1000 yd rusher, and 2 1000 yd receivers. The next year all that production was in the NFL. Just sayin

Both of these men are awesome, and both have a good point. LSU's QB situation is maddening. My non-LSU friends across the nation enjoy laughing about it. People just have a want for better QB play.

Terry Bradshaw is very knowledgeable about football and judging the potential quality of high school talent just like our coaches/recruiters are. However, Terry has absolutely no knowledge of what happens in practices, drills and skull sessions as to how that player performs or under performs while our coaches do. Terry is not privy to the films of practices, scrimmages or individual drills while our coaches do. For Terry to diss Cam Cameron as not being able to "coach up" the QB's borders on lunacy. Does he have a delusional hope of getting Harris to transfer to Tech????? Terry should keep his mouth shut on things he has no personal knowledge of. I like Terry but he has overstepped his realm of knowledge on this subject and he owes LSU, Coach Miles, Coach Cameron and Harris an apology.

Harris didn't start playing football until high school. How do people not remember this? He made massive strides last year thanks to coming in and enrolling early. In his freshman season he damn near snagged the starting quarterback job from another guy who was considered a 4 star recruit with a big arm and more experience.

Last year we knew we would have growing pains at the quarterback position. If the position is not improved this year, then there is a major problem with development. But we should refrain judgment until that time.

Also Coach Miles said Bradshaw was entitle to his comments and didn't take offense to them to Bradshaws comments about Harris starting at QB. Miles said that he probably feels real strong about it, since they are from the same area.

According to LSU Coach Miles the spring game will not signify any positions, on the available performances by any player. Brandon Harris can throw 4 touchdowns and run for 3 and still be the backup quarterback, satudays purple and gold game will not give anyone the edge of any position according to Coach Miles. Basically it is like last year when Harris out performed Jennings, in the spring game, but Harris was playing against the 2nd team defense and Jennings was playing against the 1st team defense. This saturday Harris will take some snaps against the 1st team defense and they will be tackling. LSU Defense will be one of the top defenses in the nation which will be displayed this saturday at Tiger Stadium. dailycollegefootball.com

Either Les Miles is a bad judge of talent when recruiting QB's for our system or poor in building a QB's confidence. I think both. Still can't believe we passed on Dak Prescott

im so tired of his crap, if he cant get a QB ready to play soon his arse should be let geaux...Bradshaws opinion (although prob not the best use of judgement) was spot on. LSU's offense has been anemic for far too long for the money thats being spent on coaching and with the talent that is there.
