Manny Miles, the son of LSU head coach Les Miles, announced back in late May that he was committing to the University of North Carolina.

On Tuesday at the Baton Rouge Rotary Club, coach Miles talked about how recruited Manny pretty hard to come to LSU and made a couple funny jokes about the subject...

Stripes-2011 was a long time ago and our record has gotten progressively worse since. I have every reason to believe we'll turn it around this year, but you have to admit that this hopefully brief and small decline hasn't felt as good. Les would be the first to tell you that. Also, after reading the comments made before yours--where did that even come from? I see no one bashing Les here.

"Maybe that 80% win percentage would be 85% or more otherwise."

Or maybe his style has won a few games that otherwise would have be lost. Can look at it both ways.

Stripes, i like Les and don't want to see him go for all the reasons you named, but even i can admit he plays down to the competition while making games closer than need be. His conservative play it close to the chest style is out dated. Maybe that 80% win percentage would be 85% or more otherwise.

I would like some of you "football geniuses" to detail exactly what Miles does as a coach that makes you to continuously bash a head coach who has won 80% of his games in 10 years at LSU. A coach who will probably retire at LSU as the winningest coach in LSU history. It has been 10 years of success and seems like you brain dead idiots would have STFU by now but no way. So please enlighten everyone with yoir dazzling knowledge and tell us how Miles is such a dummy even though he has SEC West Titles, SEC Titles, 2 NC Title Game appearances and a National Championship to his credit. Also overlook Miles recruiting ability and his ability to put together a staff while you are elaborating on all of Miles' alleged shortcomings. I eagerly await your "broken record" response.

He's not a bad qb. Seems to make smart decisions. He just needs to beef up and work on overall athletic ability

"Les Miles: Manny Miles said I don’t want to go to class and be Les Miles son. I said you’re going to be that anyway"

Classic Les
