Statement from LSU coach Lane Kiffin on Charlie Weis coaching Ole Miss during the playoffs….

“With the playoff committee releasing updated rankings tonight, I wanted it to be known that after conversations with LSU, we are allowing Charlie to return to Ole Miss to coach the team during the playoffs. I've already made the committee aware of this and I’m hopeful this decision will allow Ole Miss to receive the highest ranking possible because these great players are very deserving of that. I’m excited that Charlie will be back to help coach the greatest team in the history of Ole Miss.”

I thought the AD told all the assistants that if they were going for to LSU they could leave now. Was that BS?

Wait, they’ll allow Charlie to Coach, even though he’s coming to LSU but not Lane? Seems like they’re a little confused in Oxford. I’d say nope he’s staying where he is and yall figure it out.

so now that the Ole Piss AD has had some time to calm down and breathe he realizes its in his best interest to let his coaches finish the job. lol. I guarantee if he would not had already named Golding as the Permanent HC that CLK would have also been asked to return.

I think the 1962 Rebs would beg to differ...any Coach Vaught happily stayed the whole season, mind you.

The schedule was no where what it is now and that’s the biggest driver now of coaches jumping earlier.

Freeze's 2014-2015 teams would have pimp slapped any of Lane's teams.

9-3 Ole Miss that lost to 24th ranked LSU that year? Lost 30-0 to Arkansas?
