Jimbo Fisher On The LSU Job: "It Just Didn't Work Out At The Time"
by Staff Reporter
July 16, 201822 Comments
New Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher was asked at SEC Media Days on Monday about his connection the LSU coaching job over the past several years. Here's what he had to say, per SDS:
quote:
“Listen, my two boys were born in Baton Rouge,” he said. “I love Baton Rouge. My kids — that’s where they were born. They’re Louisianans. I’ve always had a great affiliation for that place and great love for that place. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out at the time. We are where we are now, though. They have a great coach and I’m in a great situation, so we’ll move on. But I always have a great appreciation for those fans and those people there. They treated me unbelievably well.”
