LSU (12-0, 8-0 SEC) is currently No. 1 in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll heading into the SEC Championship this Saturday in Atlanta.

Ohio State jumped the Tigers in the College Football Playoff rankings last week and made the hurdle over LSU in the old BCS rankings this week.

so we're the only team to have beaten, actually demolished, 3 of the top 12 (so far) and are still number 2. Makes sense.

I would think we would move back to #1 after beating #4 GA while Oh St would fall after beating #9 - a team they have already defeated.

There was always a human element placed in the old system just Incase they wanted to “correct” computers. Imo you need the human element to put Bama in no mater how many losses. They always pass the eye test along with Ohio State?
