Harold Perkins Named National Defensive Player Of The Week

LSU freshman linebacker Harold Perkins was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation’s Defensive Player of the Week for Week 11 after his dominant performance vs. Arkansas on Satuday. Per WalterCamp.org:

Harold Perkins Jr., was a dominant force in 10th-ranked LSU’s 13-10 victory against Arkansas, recording eight tackles, four for loss, four quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles, one pass break up and a quarterback hurry. Perkins clinched the victory with a forced fumble with 1:13 to go. With the win, LSU improved to 8-2 and clinched a berth in the 2022 SEC Championship Game.
Notes: Harold Perkins Jr. is the 12th LSU player to earn Walter Camp National Player of Week honors since 2004), and the first since running back Tyrion Davis-Price (October 17, 2021).
