LSU announced this week that Greeks will no longer be allowed to tailgate at their fraternity houses or on the Parade Ground for the remainder of the football season due to a lack of security. Per The Advocate:
quote:

The revamped rules stem from the news that Lofton Security is ending its coverage.

"Lofton has informed the university that it will no longer provide security for tailgating at Greek houses," Angela C. Guillory, associate dean/director of Greek Life, said in an email to chapter presidents and others.

"No other security is willing to provide this service," Guillory wrote.

"Without security, tailgating can no longer take place at the Greek houses for the rest of the 2018 football season," she said. "Tailgating at the Parade Ground will also be prohibited."

“You can’t hangout at your own house.” -LSU’s clueless President

So let me guess, they're going to need security to come by and make sure people aren't tailgating?

Why can't they just tailgate and not put up the greek letters or something like that? I mean, this doesn't seem too difficult to get around.

What is this nonsense? LSU tries to play “crazy cousin” of the SEC but their frat houses can’t tailgate? Big loss of street cred for my bayou buddies. And you can’t stop someone from eating chicken before a football game. It’s impossible.

They aren’t legally old enough to drink, so where is the problem here?

Why does a certain group need policing? Call the tailgate party a protest, problem solved.

The frat daddy’s have to learn how to beg to receive fair treatment like everyone else. They need to tell LSU they need a safe space because they feel marginalized. Maybe that will get their attention.

What exactly is the definition of “tailgate” party? What are the prerequisites to be considered a “tailgate” party? A football game within a certain number of hours? So does a bunch of frat brothers and chicks drinking and listening to music constitutes a “tailgate” party, like say on a Wednesday night? Man the FUN that was LSU IS G O N E!!

Agreed! And what about the boys who live in the fraternity house? Are they not allowed to have their dates over, turn on the big screen TV, grill some burgers and hang out?
