Former LSU and current Minnesota Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter was ranked No. 57 of the NFL Top 100 list. This is Hunter's first time on the list.

Hunter was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica but moved to Katy, Texas near Houston when he was eight years old. He played under former LSU head coach Les Miles from 2012 to 2014 and was third-round draft pick by the Vikings in 2015.

Last June, Hunter and the Vikings agreed to a five-year, $72 million contract extension with $40 million in guarantees and a $15 million signing bonus.

freak talent and our coaches here couldn't recognize it. Had him playing soft contain when they should've turned him loose to wreak havoc. That's difference with a quality coach - the good ones recognize the talent they have and develop a scheme to best utilize that talent, the bad ones just cram every player into their scheme, regardless of whether it's the right fit or not.

Too bad he had a moron coaching him on the DL. If O would have coached him, he could have probably broke some records at LSU.

Professional Bodybuilding can work if the NFL thing doesn’t pan out. If he isn’t juicing I swear God didn’t bless me with enough blood vessels

I’m not sure what everyone’s talking about. I remember him being utilized quite a bit while at LSU. He is a stud for sure.

Remember seeing this guy for the first time after he made a good play on the ball. My thoughts were he looks like a damn cyborg.

Amazing how undercoached/utilized he was, easily should have worked into a first rounder. Glad he made some real NFL money.

I’m still dumbfounded how he was not better utilized as a speed rusher at LSU...guess we were more of a “read & contain” style D under Chavis. He’s proven in the NFL to be elite when you let him loose.
