Former LSU WR Jonathan Giles Transfers To Texas Southern

Former LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles is transferring to the Texas Southern, according to The Advocate:

Giles will transfer to Texas Southern, the university confirmed Saturday, and the 6-foot-1, 186-pound senior will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer.

Giles, who is from Missouri City, Texas, told 247Sports that his father worked at Texas Southern when he was growing up and "that's where I learned how to play football and started playing football."

The #7 issue is all on Orgeron, as is some of his misuse as a player, but he didn't help himself on the field either.

biggest issue i have with ogeron is his total lack of respect and understanding for who wears #7 and #18 for LSU. its not just a token to be handed out to motivate people, it should be well earned through hard work on and off the field just like being a team captain

He's doing whatever he can to rebuild his draft stock. He thought he was good enough to play in the SEC and boost his reputation to get drafted higher. He gambled and lost, so now he's trying to salvage what he can of his college resume for the scouts. But I think the damage has been done.
