Former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels announced Wednesday that he is transferring to Miami.

Daniels, a redshirt junior from Lilburn, Ga., transferred to LSU last offseason from Liberty.

He started in 10 games this season, catching 42 passes for 480 yards and zero touchdowns, and battled a foot injury most of the season.

His 2024 stats at LSU were a significant drop off from 2023 at Liberty, where he caught 55 passes for 1067 yards and ten touchdowns.

This is the problem with the portal. Three schools in three years is a joke.

Playing at LSU and in the SEC isn’t like playing at Liberty and Conf. USA or whatever conference. I’m not sure why he expected to repeat his numbers from Liberty at LSU.

One of the highlights watching him this year. Wish he’d have stayed, but wish him luck. Hope LSU gets a chance to kick Miami’s arse in the playoffs next year.

That's fine. LSU doesn't play Miami in the regular season. Good luck to Daniels there.

Feel like he jumped early on this announcement. He could really use some coaching so hope he doesn’t end up walking away.

Good move for him. With less competition in the ACC, he'll have a better chance to stay healthy.

Good luck CJ - appreciate your time at NFLSU and glad you chose to go out of the SEC - no doubt your stats will improve greatly in the ACC -

With our transfer portal additions, we are stacked at WR at NFLSU

I thought he was a good possession receiver. Anyway, he is gone. Moving on.

Spend your last year of college in Miami. Can’t go wrong there

He has a serious heel injury that doesn't want to heal quickly. He's a good receiver when he' s healty, but he was always injured the past year. We are stacked now at WR.

You were waiting to use that “heel/ heal” thing, weren’t you? Then threw in a “healty” cuz Louisiana.

Dude knows he a mediocre receiver and most likely a mid to 3rd pick so he’s chasing the money in college smart move

If you're getting drafted between rounds 3-5 you are not a mediocre college wide receiver.

While I somewhat understand your sentiment, I don't believe any of us typing on a keyboard have the talent or ability he has, yet here we are bashing him. I hope he does well and finds success at his new home.
