Former LSU Safety Ryan Clark Rips Trent Richardson

Former LSU and NFL Pro-Bowl defensive back Ryan Clark appeared on ESPN's First Take Tuesday and had some interesting comments on former Alabama running back Trent Richardson who was cut by the Oakland Raiders Monday.

Clark called Richardson "the worst running back of all time, all time," and said that freshman running back Michael Hollins from University High in Baton Rouge "would take on my team right now in the NFL before I got Trent Richardson."

He runs standing up but doesn't have the power to run over people. Eric Dickerson did that but he was actually talented enough to run that way and make positive plays

Dude ran behind a superior o-line in college. Hasn't had the same experience in NFL. He is too slow. Doesn't hit the holes with enough of a burst to get through initial tackles. Running like he runs, he will average 3 yards a carry over a career. That is not good enough for the NFL these days, especially at his high cost!!!

I can think of a lot of 1st round RB picks that didn't sustain as long a professional career as T. Richardson has had. I like Clark, but I thought that was a little harsh and unprofessional.
