Former LSU defensive lineman Davin Cotton announced Sunday evening that he is transferring to Southern University.

Cotton entered his name in the transfer portal in late February.


Cotton appeared in two games during for LSU during the 2018 season, recording one tackle vs. Southeastern LA and two tackles vs. Rice.

The Shreveport native was four-star prospect out of Evangel Christian Academy and was rated the No. 9 player for the state of Louisiana for the class of 2018.

Why so negative!? He was seeing the field because there are better players on the depth chart ahead of him. He left so he could get a shot at more playing time. What do expect him to do!? Collect dust on the far end of the bench!? He did what was right for him. How hard is it to wish him good luck and best wishes!? Geez!
