The Gainesville Sun-USA TODAY NETWORK
In a recent interview with ESPN, Florida defender Marco Wilson was asked about the end of the LSU game last season when he was flagged for an unsportsmanlike penalty for throwing Cole Taylors shoe.

The penalty allowed LSU to go on and kick a game-winning 57-yard field goal by Cade York.
quote:

"In that type of energy, what did people expect?" Wilson said. "Like I was going to hand it back nicely to him? I was super excited and I threw it. I didn't purposely do it; it was just a reaction. It went pretty far. I mean, I didn't think it would go that far. But it did."

So we're all agreed that determinism is nonsense- the kid had a choice to throw or not to throw. Rant demonstrating strong philosophy takes.

An even dumber response than I expected.

“I didn't purposely do it; it was just a reaction.“ What a terrible answer. You made a bad decision and may have cost your team the game and a chance at a national championship, take ownership of it.

I think what he meant to say, was, "I was talkin shite the entire game while every LSU WR they put me went in raw on me all over the field... I finally made a play and prematurely blew my load in celebration."

Dear Lord,.. what was I supposed to do with it?? Seriously?? You do NOTHING with it. I swear, this generation. The other day I brought in a 22 year old at work to talk about his tardiness at work. He said, and I quote, "I live 40 minutes away, u can't expect me to be here on time". Yes, that is a true story.

I'll never forget the moment I saw that shoe leave his hand. Such a Gator thing to do. The memes that followed over the next week were epic!

I don't care why he threw it. I'm just glad he did.

Dude threw the little brain he had left.. excited or not I can’t ever remember a time when I played sports that I ever had a brain fart like he did and threw anything much less a shoe..

Hey shmuck, you could have done nothing. You could have left it on the ground. I'm sure that is what Florida fans expected. Shoe comes off, it's on the ground, leave it there. But you are making that excuse for picking it up and throwing it? He should skip the wonderlic test.

Maybe a udfa in your future, or of course there is always foot locker employment. Although, the manager might not take too kindly to throwing their un bought shoes around. Thanks for the 15 yd penalty, it worked out nicely for the Tigers

Saying it was white people's fault would have been better than that

That comment alone should keep him out of the NFL. Maybe he can work at BK
