If you look at all the post game interviews, every player knew about the tragedy pregame except Joe. Perhaps he was in game plan mode with Joe Brady.

I do honestly believe once Joe was “locked in a loaded” teammates don’t just walk up to him and tell him something disheartening like that pregame or during the game for that matter. If you do you may get an arse whipping by the rest of the team.

If anyone knows Dari's story losing his own child years ago, you'll know he feels awful. He does not take death of a loved one lightly and would have never done it just to get the answer first.

This is perfectly appropriate, and Dari is a class act for recognizing the error and apologizing for it. I would have assumed that the entire team was aware of the tragedy, as Dari and his team did, but he immediately apologized. It takes a big person to admit to a mistake and work to correct the damage.

If you go back and look at the video, Dari looks around, down, and briefly nods ... I think a producer promoted him to ask the question which is why he repeatedly said “we” in his apology. I respect Dari for the apology and taking the bullet for the producer as well. Class act from a really good guy.

Some folks on this board just can’t wait to grab someone’s jugular and pull it loose. Nuance be damned. Dari was obviously distressed and embarrassed, and Ive gained respect for the man. It isn’t up to any of us t accept or reject it. I feel pretty confident that the folks in the know are good with Dari.

Honestly, I’ve never liked Dari... BUT.... I have to say I actually have gained some respect for him after this. We all screw up, and a lot of reporters would have tried to justify the question instead of owning the mistake and asking forgiveness. I HONESTLY BELIEVE he had NO intention of doing what he did. You could see it on his face and in his tone when he realized the mistake. Kudos to Dari for recognizing and trying to make it right. I like him a little better now.
