Expectations for LSU Football are always high and that is not changing anytime soon.

After taking over the head coaching position on an interim basis in late September and landing the job full-time at the end of the season, Ed Orgeron said that LSU "can compete for titles very fast."

Following LSU's 29-9 win over Louisville in the Citrus Bowl, Orgeron told the players they will be in the College Football Playoff next year. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“Coach O told us in the locker room,” guard Will Clapp said, “‘it’s a great win, but next season, things are going to be different. We’re going to be in it (College Football Playoff).’”

Impressive bowl win over the Heisman winner is a great way to start it off.

Our defense will be better next year. This was Aranda's first year. I can hardly fathom the defense we are going to have. Our offense will be better obviously with Canada's mind with the talent and versatility he will be working with. Coach O's passion and his infectious "physical mentality". It's just hard to expect any less than greatness. Here come the Tigers baby. GEAUX TIGERS!!

Thank God we lost to Auburn....Otherwise Les F---ing Miles would still be coaching.

LSU could have beaten ANY of the teams playing in the college bowls, with the possible exception of Alabama....And even THAT would have been extremely close, or an LSU win.

I don't think Bama is better than Clemson

With Danny Etling as your qb?

Yep.....Next question?

Orgeron will be here for ten years and we will win three championships under him. It's destiny.

I have to agree.

As soon as Saban retires, it's all attainable. If Saban were still in the NFL, LSU would have at least 4 more since 2007

Gotta love his passion. To hell with all that "quality" bull shite doubletalk we've been putting up with. Call you shot, and sink it.

If you think you are better you are. If you think you dare not you don't. If you like to win but don't think you can it's almost a cinch you won't.

I love this. The first step to achieving is believing... If you cannot believe something will happen, you never have a chance at making it happen.

Can't Get There, if you don't think you can get there...Gotta Believe

That's great. High expectations. So when we lose to Bama next year are the players going to quit like they have in past years? I see this team going 9-3 at best

Loser. Anyone with Cali in their name is all you need to know.

No we aren't. Keep talking, coonass. That's what you're best at.

You really think talking is his strongest attribute?

"No we aren't." Don't include yourself by saying "we" if you're going to have that crappy attitude. It's time to get on the hype train you wussy, Coach O's gonna make LSU great again. That's what fans do, they believe in their team and the back their team.

I agree. We were in the conversation every year with Miles. Until the Bama game. If you're in it for anything less, you shouldn't be coaching. We have the talent, and now I believe we have the coaches! O is making the team believe, and that's the most important part. Geaux Tigers!
