Ed Orgeron joined 104.5 ESPN's "Off The Bench" Tuesday morning and talked about the 2021 Recruiting Class which currently sits at 20 signees and two solid commits.

With three spots left to fill, Orgeron said there are some "other" recruits he would like to land and that he also spoke with three linebackers in the transfer portal on Monday.

The Tigers signed four-star linebacker Greg Penn III and top JUCO linebacker Navonteque Strong during the early signing period in December.

Here's a look at some of the top linebacker in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports:

Jordan Anthony (Michigan)
Palaie Gaoteote IV (USC)
Henry To'o To'o (Tennesee)
J.J. Peterson (Tennesee)
Quavaris Crouch (Tennesee)
Jack Lamb (Notre Dame)
Ayodele Adeoye (Texas)
Jaquan Yulee (Marshall)
Sione Lund (Utah)
Mike Jones Jr. (Clemson)

I bet they wish they'd offered Grubbs coming out of high school.

To'o or Gaoteote would both good pick ups to probably immediately impact. Jones Jr. would be a good spot if they wanted to take a chance on someone who has a high ceiling.

Clemson’s Mike Jones Jr. seems to have the pedigree. Was in all the top 200 lists coming out of high school, which was IMG by the way. Started as a red shirt freshman and sophomore for Clemson and was a projected starter this year. Not sure what happened but why wouldn’t we take him for the 3 years of eligibility he has left??

I'd like to ask a serious question if possible. Why are these kids seeking transfer? If it is because they cannot get playing time at their current school, are they good enough to get playing time here? IF they are leaving for other reasons, will they be happy here?

Usually it’s a variety of reasons: wanting more playing time, being homesick, upgrading to a better program, escaping a toxic program, coaching changes, etc. Sometimes they are good for depth, other times they win Heismans.

Why did we ever take a chance on that transfer Joe Burrow? He couldn't even start at Ohio State.
