How often has it ever happened where 2 major NON CONFERENCE teams play twice in same season, never

Old system but FSU/UF did in 96.

Lol, they always do this. Really big game vs too teams early, they expect them to have a rematch at the end of the season. It almost never, if ever, happens.

Laughable......won’t happen unless they both end up in the playoffs.

That’s insulting. While everyone else is talking about LSU may be the best team in the country, these knuckleheads have us rematching Texas? Gtfo

When has the top 4 at this point in the season ever been the top 4 at the end of the season? has that ever happened?

This would be 3 games in 12 months. Nope. If LSU doesn't make the national playoff, then match us up against Joe B's old team Ohio State.

Would rather play someone for the National Championship. Texas ain't gonna be in that conversation.

I would love it, but for the fact that we are playing them in September 2020.

Exactly. I don't see the interest from LSU fans for a rematch when we play them again next September. The Dome would be at least 75% burnt orange. I don't think we would travel well, even though it's right down the road.

Neither school nor conference will go for a Texas/LSU matchup outside of the Playoff. Won’t happen.

It's no longer their choice.

Both conferences have already agreed to send their highest ranked team (not in the Playoffs) to the Sugar Bowl.

Don't understand the hype on UGA every year. They were dnominated last year by us and Texas, and they haven't played nobody this year, and yet these analyst are projecting them into the playoff and beat Bama in SECC? LoL
