I don't hope anyone gets sick, but I think this year we'll see more weird losses by teams due to unexpected game week Covid infections and other scares. We can get over this loss as other teams experience unforeseen circumstances. As a Tiger fan, we can only hope this doesn't doom our season but i don't think it will.

Maybe but what happened Saturday was poor play and coaching. As little respect we gave Aranda he made adjustments when he needed.

Not only was LSU missing D. Sting but DT Glenn Logan also that's two veteran starters two of our best defensive players just to much to overcome.

Correct. That is two All-SEC preseason selections, including Stingley at two positions(DB & PR). Stingley changes the D calls as he would have locked down one side, allowing safeties to help out the younger DBs. Logan is a force in the middle and would have helped in pass rush.

One returning DEF starter took the field to start that game, Stevens. FR, SOPH, and newly transferred DBs in their first games as starters or with significant PT. Too much to overcome. They'll get better, GT!

Now we will only give up 500 passing yards. Yay!

That's two TD drives, so we win 34-30.

What was it that caused him to be hospitalized? Was it a reaction to something he ate? Was it food poisoning ? Was it a seizure? Maybe I missed it but I never saw where it was confirmed what the issue was.

Yes, that’s what it was

They are not going to confirm the questions you ask, as there are federal laws against it (HIPAA). Only Derek himself can give that information.

I feel so bad for the kid. The type of person he is, I’m sure he was pissed laying in that hospital bed, ready to break something because he knew he could’ve helped the team pull that one out. He’s the leader for all the DBs and they missed their leader. It’s all good DSting it all starts this Saturday buddy!

Yeah, that had to eat him up inside for sure. Fierce, quiet competitor. He could have locked down one side while the “younger” guys got extra help over the top.
