Former LSU head coach Les Miles reached out to Dameyune Craig Thursday following the news that he had been fired.

Craig was hired by Miles last February to replace Tony Ball and served as wide receiver coach and Recruiting Coordinator before he was relieved of his duties on Thursday.

He will go get another six figure salary immediately. I don't feel sorry for any of the coaches on the carousel. Great problem to have. Even Peveto was hired within a month. Get over it.

Those of you wanting "diversity" on the coaching staff, why does it not pertain to the team as well? Why is the team 81% black when blacks only make up 13% of the country? The BEST for the job or position should get the job or position, regardless of color. Those sound like racist statements.

Generic passive aggressive drivel! Do you want more white players (87%) or Do you want more black coaches (81%)?

Look at the eyes that Buga is cutting at Les. Looks like he wants to b-slap that goofy smile off his face.

Buga wasn't happy with Miles this year. Chewed him out coming off the field after Les almost got him killed

If he's fired, he keeps his salary or at the very least the difference between a new deal and a current one. Employers always time terminations when it minimizes disruption

This is terrible for LSU because the optics are terrible. We now have two African American coaches on LSU both of which are in secondary defensive coaching positions on a team that is comprised of 81% African American players. This team needs more diversity ASAP on its coaching staff and they need some younger coaches too.

I think it was a combination of Canada wanting his own staff and Craig on getting other job offers

You are probably right..but let the man "resign" rather than firing him. This is like working an employee the whole day and firing him after work. It could have been handled better.
