College Football analyst Bruce Feldman joined ESPN's Peter Burns on the "SEC This Morning" radio show on SiriusXM this week and said that LSU could be a College Football Playoff contender in 2019 if the Tigers can get solid QB play.

Feldman also mentioned that solid work that head coach Ed Orgeron has done on the recruiting trail to build up the offensive and defensive lines as a reason why LSU could be a threat in 2019.

O has done a fabulous job recruiting and rebuilding the lines. What made the 2011 defense so nasty was the front and the never ending depth. We have not had that in a long time.

So not this season but next?

Like how he acknowledged Coach O's work in addressing the lines on both sides the ball. LSU fans were under an illusion that were getting top shelf talent on the D line but that has not been true since 2010.

Between recruiting, facilities, etc, we should be in the conversation just about every year. It's hard to predict what will happen in 2019, when we have no clue how 2018 will go.

No kidding it hinges on the quarterback. You could have said that the last 10 seasons

We *could* go 5-7, too. A lot *could* happen.

Keep in mind Feldman wrote Meat Market and a significant portion of the book was focused on orgeron recruiting during his time at ole miss
