It’s one or the other. Both numbers are overkill. #7 and it’s not even close

Need to scrap it. Felt like an artificial and forced tradition like the Arkansas rivalry.

Kelly’s trying to manufacture a poignant movie script like moment where a handful of seniors are still in the locker room after the rest of the team has left. BK walks in like he’s about to cut out the lights and a player tosses him the two jerseys. “Hey coach. We decided we don’t want to make these numbers special anymore. Each man plays there best and to that higher standard.” *Kelly nods with a hearty half grin, indicating he is pleased.* then says “alright boys. Well, let’s leave it all on the practice field. I’m proud of you guys already.” It’s like Kelly is reading from a script. I don’t like it.

It is funny all of the silly people that hold on so dearly to the # crap. I have never liked it as it is silly to call out any player of the eleven on the field. It is as silly as that 12th man bull shite texas 8&4 does.

I don't care what # they wear. If the team does, let it be so.

For the love of god 18 has been a curse. End the tradition.

It really doesn’t matter. Chad Jones, early doucet, Bradie James, Trev Faulk, Kevin Faulk, Skylar Green, Trinidon Holiday… #3 & #5 was a thing before Patrick Peterson & Tyrann Mathieu.

Idk how I left Josh Reed off the list of incredible skill talent at LSU in the last 2 decades.

I got a 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 & 14 in there. I don’t get your post but okay. And a 25 if you add Reed.

That’s fair for #7 but #18 IMO should be a team and coaches ability to override the decision. #18 is much more special and should be voted on based on a few variables, grades, veteran status, personality on and off the the field and leadership qualities.
