Brandon Harris blaming himself for the shortcomings of his head coach and offensive coordinator is a sad state of affairs.

Miles: "Absolutely my fault, something I'm not getting done, too many sacks, pressures." LINK It is not Harris. Look at the picture. What do you see? Miles/Cam/and an O-Line putting Harris in terrible situations at ALA & ARK. He faced 3rd and 10+ yds on 13 of 25 plays, "something Joe Montana nor any QB could convert". He had no protection and was pressured to scramble on over 50% of his dropbacks. He was sacked 10 times vs ALA and ARK, 5 each game, and sustained shoulder, groin, and knee injuries at ALA. He converted a 1st Qtr 3rd-18 from the back of the endzone with a 37yd dart to Dural, then limped off after his 2nd Sk coming in the 2nd Qtr on a 40yd TD to Dural when an unblocked blitzing Cyrus Jones drilled him full speed while he was throwing. Miles/Cam in 3 yrs are 14-10 in SEC play, 58%, the same avg Cam had in NFL. Cam never had a short passing game. The 7-0 run-blocking O-line disintegrated in November: LINK

All players could use improvement, if Harris is better with the short touch passes, 3rd down decisions, and take off and run when its there he have a great year and so will LSU.

Harris wasn't terrible last year, he just wasn't great. He wasn't bad for a sophomore in his first year starting. Especially with the play calls, lack of imagination until the end of the seasons, and poor routes and drops by receivers. I admire that he took the blame although it's definitely not all on him. It's a far cry from a former QB that would play terrible many times, and then tell the media he played well.

I admire that he admits his deficiency, but trying to be held accountable for everything that went wrong is either an act of arrogance or showing he did not really understand the cause of problem.

All I can say to you is REALLY? A guy says that he sucked last year and that he didn't live up to expectations means that he's either arrogant or blind to the faults of the offense? Wow Harris, you can't win for losing with this crowd.

Id like Brandon Harris to be like AJ McCarron. A confident game manager and minimal turnovers.

he lacked a lot of confidence for sure

To tell you the truth, minus his cmp% (which also has a lot to do with drops), he was near identical to Zach Mett's 2012 campaign. There is a high probability that he will blow up this year now with experience, better coaching, improved pass catchers, improved OL, and a coach that knows his arse is on the line if he doesn't.

Mett and the 2012 offense were inexcusably bad. Mett was not a young inexperienced QB and had plenty good talent around him.

Nobody ever mentions that he was making some pretty decent strides towards the back half of the season until that hernia happened. I hold nothing against him after that

He had really good game against a very good Florida defense. I like whst he has been saying lately.

I don't think he was terrible but I will say I like HIS approach to a less than stellar season better than some of his predecessors.

He wasn't great, but I don't think he was "terrible" either. I don't like that he feels he was terrible. Not saying he lacks confidence, but I'd rather he say something like" there are things I could have done better and will improve on this year". I'm not reading into what he said, I just hope he doesn't lose confidence in himself because that would be a disaster.

No. He is correct. He was terrible. The first thing you have to do to get better is to admit your deficiencies. He was plain bad last season. Good luck to him.

STRIPES:Harris was not terrible last year. If you look at the Bama game when we went behind early, LSU started throwing the ball and tied the game quickly. Then Miles went back to the run game that wasn't working. Bama was daring us to throw the ball, stacking 8 and sometimes 9 in the box. Les refused to adjust. He was great, but he was smart. He knew what he was capable of and what he was not. He stayed within his limits and didn't try to force anything. If Les let's Cameron open the play book and play to ALL of Harris' strengths, LSU would have alot more wins against Saban and the tide. While I do like Les, he has limited this team. He said so himself. He said he will allow Cam and Aranda to do their job with less interference, but we've heard that tune before. Let's hope he for real this year, now that his feet have been dangled over the fire...

Harris is exhibiting some real leadership by stating this...I hope he lights up the field this year...

I don't think he was terrible. The scheme was just predictable and we didn't have a defense that was able to make up for the offensive shortcomings.

I also hate the blind criticism of the QB by the masses yet rarely anything on how poor the WRs were last year. Also we realized just how bad the OL was last year when we actually faced good DLs 4 games in a row through November.

The system works if the QB is efficient. Mett proved the system works. 98% of teams in the history of the game of football goes as the QB goes. Harris wasn't very good. Neither was the offense because of it.

Datbayoubengal: You're so correct! It was many times that Harris was putting it right between the numbers and balls where being dropped. Honestly, Malachi Dupree was the only consistent WR we had all year. And even he dropped a few dimes. Harris can't go throw the rock and catch it too!

The Tigers' troubles last year certainly aren't all Harris' fault. But this statement is a MAN statement. It shows humility, ownership, responsibility, self-challenge. In Les' lingo, Harris has CHEST!! Great character. The seed of Glory is Humility!

Those stats aren't bad and I wouldn't say he was terrible because we have all seen worse but it's good he sees the faults in his game and hopefully he can improve them and have a great year

Greatly exaggerated. BH was not terrible last year. He was in part a victim of system. And please let's stop talking about game managers. BAMA was a close game until Kiffin stopped managing, and let playmakers make plays. OPEN THE DANG PLAYBOOK!
