Five-star edge rusher Anthony Sweeney was on LSU's campus this past weekend for a multi-day visit.

The 6-4, 230-pound prospect from Baltimore, Maryland (St. Frances Academy), is currently committed to Texas Tech. Sweeny is rated the No. 3 edge rusher in the country, according to 247 Sports.

On Monday, Sweeney shared photos from his visit to Baton Rouge, along with a message to LSU defensive line coach Sterling Lucas.

Would be a great addition. Can never have too many edge defenders.

A lot of these 5 star players will be showing up on the LSU campus in a year or so when they've gained some experience. Looking forward to it

The fact that he visited LSU says a lot. He has respect for the program, no matter who the highest bidder is. Every one of us would consider going to the highest bidder. We need to sell our product and pay as much as we can. Ohio State- Lex Wexner- Championship, Georgia- Arthur Blank- Championship, Indiana- Mark Cuban- Championship, BAMA-Vulcan,Drummond, Bryant- Championship. That is how it is done.

If he's a Tech commit, we know he's all about the biggest check...like most are now.

In layman’s terms. These recruits and their families go to these schools with their hands out. That’s all that matters in this day and age of recruiting. Not like the old days therefore I don’t pay attention. This kid, his family and handlers is looking for the biggest payout.
