Ed Orgeron and the LSU coaching staff received some great news on Sunday afternoon when four-star linebacker Greg Penn III announced his commitment to the Tigers.

Penn, a 6-1, 225-pound prospect from Hyattsville, MD (DeMatha Catholic), chose the Tigers over Alabama, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

Penn is LSU's 16 commit for the 2021 class and the fourth recruit to commit this month. He is rated the No. 6 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 5 overall player from the state of Maryland, according to Rivals.

I’m not one of those rival fans that are so much filled with disdain that I can not recognize or appreciate success. Man Coach O and LSU are killing it on the recruiting trail. No joke man, y’all have the potential to go on a run that would make Bama and Clemson blush.

Top OT’s; Tristan Leigh, Tommy Brockermeyer, Nolan Rucci, Savion Byrd, Terrence Ferguson,Rocco Spindler. Of these only Leigh is kinda considering LSU. Tigers will probably have to settle for 3 star recruits.

That's usually the basketball team. However, I will agree, this is a good grab, especially from out of Maryland. LSU traditionally doesn't pull players out of that region.

Amazing what winning a national title with the greatest team of all-time a Heisman winning QB can do for the program's national caché.
