LSU Lands Commitment From In-State WR Kylan Billiot

Three-star wide receiver Kylan Billiot from Houma, La., announced his commitment to LSU on Wednesday.

The 6’3, 190-pound prospect from Terrebonne High School received his offer from the Tigers coaching staff last weekend after a strong showing at LSU's Elite camp.

Billiot committed to the Tigers over offers from Tulane, ULL, Georgia Tech, and others.

LSU now has 17 verbal commitments for the class of 2024 with the addition of Billiot.

Louisiana under the radar WR has typically worked out really good for LSU. They typically become the star player on the offense for LSU and end up drafted in the first or high second round. I don’t see a difference with this kid. Looks like the typical LSU WR from Louisiana that others offer after LSU and we end up looking smart as hell for being the first, as we should be. Great eval by the Tigers staff. Kid looks like the next DJ Chark out there. All you star gazers out there, he’ll get his stars and if he doesn’t he’ll still play well for the Tigers. Great get by the staff.

All the "look at this specific case"'ers will come out of the woodworks for you, but fail to neglect that out of the WHOLE ENTIRE 3s 4s and 5s, there's a drastic difference between average success of each star. They matter. You can point to abnormalties in anything in life, but you're better off sticking with what usually happens.

In this situation I don't look at stars. I trust the staffs evals.

Not lighting fast but has long arms and big hands. High point go get it type. I always like a Diamond in the rough type story so hopefully he puts in the work and shows out.
