Three-star athlete Isaiah Washington announced his commitment to LSU over the 4th of July holiday.

Washington, a 6-2, 170-pound prospect from Haynesville, La. (Haynesville HS), chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Tulane, Baylor, and other offers.

His commitment gives the Tigers 13 verbal commitments for the 2026 class.

If he didn't have great potential, he wouldn't be one of the few that will sign with LSU this year. He's a QB that could play Safety or CB. Many of the best defensive backs we've ever had were QB's in high school.

Super cool and I hope we can hold him. My guess is the actual fulfillment of the commits is less than 50%. That said, if we socialize our negativity, I bet that % drops significantly.

Actual fulfillment of commitment is closer to 90% at LSU in the last few years. When we do lose 1 it is usually a high profile guy so it probably seems much higher. There is also those situations where we may get a commit and between commitment and signing LSU decides to do the decommitting.
I 100% agree that negative social media comments can only hurt LSU’s recruiting efforts. Who wants to go play in front of a bunch of whiny arse people that call themselves fans

Hard to get noticed in Haynesville but that part of the state has produced some tremendous athletes over the years
