Former Kentucky freshman offensive lineman Darrin Strey announced his commitment to LSU on Monday morning, according to multiple reports.

The 6-7, 320-pound lineman from Paw Paw, Mich., was rated a four-star recruit coming out of Paw Paw High School. He will have four years of eligibility remaining at LSU.

Strey is LSU's 26th commitment out of the transfer portal and 4th offensive lineman to join the Tigers.

Big and athletic, he played basketball, football and threw the discus for track and field in high school. He’s a project but has a great upside.

I wouldn't call it experience. He was a freshman that got in a couple of non-con games. He's big, but no way to know if he is any better than the other big dudes that just left, bu I hope so. They set the bar for success pretty low.
