Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Talented four-star wide receiver JaMarr Chase from Metairie, LA (Archbishop Rummel) will be announcing his commitment Monday night at 6:30 p.m. CT on the NFL Network.

He will likely be deciding between TCU and LSU.

The LSU coaching staff offered the Rummel receiver back on Feb. 15th just a few days after he de-committed from Kansas.

Chase is rated the No. 7 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2018, according to ESPN and Rivals.

If our coaches want him, then I respect their opinion and hope he becomes a Tiger...but I have little time for this grandstanding that kids do nowadays....

Well, thank God you're not on our coaching staff or we wouldn't have a team. I understand it can sometimes go a little overboard, but that's recruiting now days. If you don't like it, don't follow it. Let the kids have their fun.

So because he couldn't have his 15 minutes, he didn't announce at all? Pretty silly IMO

TCU bound. It's closer to home and a good school. So just go and be done. These announcements shite shows are garbage.

Until we have an LOI signed, why do we pay attention to the non-binding "commitment" announcements of these kids several months before the recruiting process ends?

Part 1 of the commit, decommit process. Very entertaining! If we want him, our coaching staff will get him. Say what you will, but this staff makes recruiting the #1 priority. Especially in Louisiana. This is the main reason Coach O was hired and why he will succeed. Along with surrounding himself with outstanding coaches and letting them do their jobs. It's simple, basic, and highly effective! I can't wait for September!
