Talented four-star wide receiver JaMarr Chase from Metairie, LA (Rummel) announced Wednesday night that he de-committed from Florida.

Chase originally committed to the Gators on back in July, choosing the Gators over LSU and TCU. He gave his verbal pledge to coach Jim McElwain who was fired last week.

Chase, a 6-1, 192-pound prospect is rated the No. 12 wide receiver in the country and the No. 4 overall player from the State of Louisianna for the class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite Rating.

Expect wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph and head coach Ed Orgeron to turn up the heat on Chase's recruitment to LSU.

Now is the time to sway him. He's a Louisiana kid and I do believe he's genuinely decommittex from UF given the uncertainty and turmoil that's unfolding there. Other teams will make a strong push for him as well, but if LSU pushes hard and, conven

Man everybody here keep forgetting these are 17, 18 year olds also, they're worshipped by their peers and put on pettlestols. Word of advice. Don't take a kids commitment seriously until he actually signs his Johnny Hancock on the dotted line. Now as far as WR Ja'Marr Chase goes LSU will go at him hard just like the 5 or 6 top 150 Nationally ranked WR's from NOLA. Well, from the top WR's from NOLA, Terrace Marshall, Devonta Jason, Lawrence Keys III,Jammal Houston, Anthony Spurlock and Chase the Tigers can only sign 3 maybe 4. And LSU wish list, Marshall first and foremost followed with Jason, Keys and hopefully with Chase but the top three even without Chase would satisfy the Tigers need at WR in the 2018 class. So hopefully Chase really considers LSU but if the Tigers can land the top Three WR's on their wish list Chase won't even matter but, like Coach O said putting a fence around Louisiana is the difference in being average and competing for Championships. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN?????????

Love your enthusiasm! Gave you an upvote. But I gotta be honest, I did it because I never saw anyone spell pedestal that way.

The domino effect is just starting for Florida. It will continue, just like it did after Miles was fired. It’s only natural. Watch O and the boys recruit big this offseason and be back on top as early as next year. Louisiana is flush with talent and we gonna lock it down! Finish the season strong Tigers! This kid is dying to come to BR! Geaux get him!

Would be a huge addition to the class, but how in the world would you know he is "dying to come to BR"? He had an offer on the table from LSU when he chose Florida in the first place

Exactly BigTimer. He has to swallow a little pride now and act like he loved LSU all along. GTFO man.

Well thanks to the job Coach O and the assistants did LSU didn't really lose anything after Les Miles was fired they kept that class intact.

#1, I'm always amused when high-school seniors say they have to "pick the college scholarship that's best for their family"...ummm, you know the money is supposed to be on the down-low, right? #2, I LOL'ed at "whole heartily".

I do not respect he education you’re receiving Rummel. Punctuate!

How about you proofread? Oh the irony.

Rummel is probably 100x a better school than the one you went to. That is, if you actually went to high school. Stupid ass.

I hate how these players demand that we respect their decision. I’d respect it a lot more if they didn’t add that. Just sounds whiny.

I am not even sure what it means to "respect someone's decision"...

IT’S HAPPENING

I will respect your decision If you charge your phone. Don't, and all bets are off.
