LSU offensive line commit Jalan Chapman announced Tuesday that he has reopened his recruitment.

Chapman, a three-star prospect from Warren Easton in New Orleans, initially committed to the Tigers back in the summer of 2024, and just expressed excitement about LSU hiring Lane Kiffin on Sunday.

Now, it is unclear where Chapman will sign this week during the early signing period.

Some of you are brutal. Yes, good chance he had is offer rescinded. But he wanted to be a Tiger, dreamed of being a Tiger, so imagine how disappointing it must be to the young man to have this happen a week before he thought he was signing. Hope he lands in a great place, and I will be pulling for him.

I agree on people being brutal. But he can go elsewhere, work his arse off, and be welcomed back with open arms to his dream school through the portal. Maybe he just needs time to develop. This is a different era of college ball now.

If that is what it was then it reads "offer rescinded" not "loses commitment".

LSU should set him up in a Junior College....for some of these 3 star players it would be a great option and if things work out later come to LSU with an experienced, improved player ready to contribute.

This kid was another Chester. Finally we are raising the standard on olineman. No wonder we lost so many games recruiting out of shape 3 stars.

Maybe due to Brad Davis not being his coach could have him doing this? Y’all all know he was processed out—NO. Only the coach knows that so stop with the idiot talk

I really don't think a new heach coach from another program has to honor the previous coaches commitments. I mean heck the NIL has powered the players to take the money and run away from a previous commitment. All is fair in love & money

When Davis left Arkansas LSU fans claimed he was the best OL coach in the country. Now he’s terrible. Oh the hypocrisy

Yes, I think it should have read "offer rescinded" not "loses commitment". But who of the incomng staff did the dirty deed?
