Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
LSU head coach Will Wade commented on his indefinite suspension through the following text message which was sent to NOLA.com:
quote:

"Serving as the Head Basketball Coach at LSU has been the honor of my life. I love this university and all it stands for. From day one, I’ve been focused on building a winning program made up of excellent coaches and staff and a team of first-rate student athletes.

"I cannot comment at this time on various media reports, except to say that they do not begin to tell the full story. I understand the University had to take action before all the facts are in, but I would ask everyone to withhold their judgment until the record is complete.

“To my players and coaches, I support you 100%, and I will be with you in spirit as the season progresses. Your best response to this is to narrow your focus and make sure the last part of the season is the strongest part!”

There is no doubt in my mind, especially after hearing Wade say, "this does not begin to tell the entire story," that all this was taken out of context. I believe this is a plan by someone or some organization to do everything in their power to derail LSU from competing at their highest level. I believe the NCAA and the FBI knows there is a lot more to this and the rest will exonerate Will Wade of any serious infractions. If LSU were not in the running to be the SEC regular season champs this story would not have come out. If LSU were not a serious contender to win the SEC and NCAA tourney this story would not have come out. It is a ploy and deception to keep LSU from winning games and championships. I've never heard such banter calling for teams to 'sit out' the NCAA tourney, especially when the NCAA has not even seen enough evidence to even open an investigation. Someone, some team, some people are scared LSU will beat them and win the NCAA and they have the power to do this at this time. Come April and everyone, including these Yahoo reporters and Dick Vitale and everyone that has lambasted Wade and LSU will owe Will Wade an apology. When the entire facts come out, as Will Wade has expressed. Vitale and every one of these pawns that broke this story can burn!!! LSU and Will Wade forever!!!

He was subpoenaed to testify in April by the defense... not by the prosecution! He does not seem to be the target. Hopefully, he will be ok!

He will be fine. Bama will hire him when they let him go.

They're asking him to testify. You don't ask someone to testify because you are trying to decide whether or not to charge them, that's not how this works. He's not in trouble with the FBI. This tape sounds bad but it's literally nothing in terms of rules violations. He doesn't break any NCAA rules either. We all know how this really works at EVERY power 5 school in football and/or basketball. It's our turn in the limelight because of a broken system managed by a broken organization.

I agree RB. Alleva didn’t have much of a choice considering Wade said GFY when asked to come in. It was the right decision IMO

Does the FBI have nothing better to do than use manpower to try and sniff out the goings ons of a college basketball squad? I mean, this country has a lot of really disturbing problems and mysteries...child trafficking..drug trafficking..murders..Momo scaring the daylights of kids trying to watch Peppa Pig.. Why the heck are they wasting precious time on the clock trying to bust poor will wade making a phone call? I get a lot of taxes taken out of my hard earned paycheck every two weeks and I don’t appreciate the wackadoodle crap it helps fund sometimes!

Terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking, serial killers, nope this is a far, far greater threat to the fabric of America. Screw them

Why not just leave it play out, court is not scheduled until the end of April. Never liked Aleva as a man after how he handled the Lacross fiasco at Duke. Always thought he was a throw you under the bus kinda guy, not anyone that had your back.
