The LSU Men's Basketball team received some good news on Thursday, with Jalen Reed announcing that he would return to the team next season.

Reed, a junior forward from Jackson, Miss., was a key player for the Tigers this past year before his season was abruptly ended on Dec. 3 when he tore his ACL vs. Florida State.

Before the injury, Reed averaged 23.7 minutes a game as a starter, registering 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Reed has started in 39 games over the last three seasons.

Only true tiger of the McMahon era, I really hope he is rewarded for his loyalty

You think the guys transferring out are doing so because they’re not loyal? You have no idea what’s occurring if you think that…

I question your intelligence of his situation. He won’t be ready when the season starts with a knee injury.

Choosing to stay in the dumpster fire.

Interesting.

I’m sure he had other SEC teams knocking his door down.

He won’t be back until the SEC play starts so he is staying for the medical care and rehab. Best choice. He could medical or go pro after next season or the following.

Smart.
