Per LSU Sports: COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – Wednesday night it was a three-pointer in the final seconds that LSU freshman Tremont Waters was looking for to tie Kentucky. It didn’t happen.

Saturday, Waters closed out a wild final 12 seconds with two long-range three-pointers, the last in the final second that gave LSU an amazing 69-68 triumph over No. 11 Texas A&M before a stunned crowd of close to 11,000 at Reed Arena.

I thought A&M defended him well on that last play. That shot had at best a 10 percent chance of going in. But in the ball went! Geaux Tigers!

This win is going to be remembered as the game that LSU basketball was officially back. This is just the beginning is the crazy thing about it. Will wade is for real, and this team has some talent. We are going to make the ncaa tournament this season. I don't think there's even a question about it based on the other teams I've seen play in our conference. We have played 2 of the best teams in our league and went 1-1 against them and could have easily been 2-0. It's just awesome to see LSU basketball playing like we are, like we should be. Will wade said we will make a final 4 ij a few seasons...I don't think anyone is taking that comment lightly anymore. Just wait until we get his first true recruiting class in here next season and then let's play some frickin ball. Geaux tigers.

I said after Epps missed the game winning layup on a feed from Waters a few games ago that Tremont needs to take the last shot for the Tigers. Coach Wade obviously feels the same way. He’s the best player on the team, so he’s the man with the game on the line! Great shot! Great win! Back to back solid performances! This team is getting better every game! Will Wade is imposing his Will(I couldn’t resist) on this team and serving notice to the rest of the SEC! Geaux Tigers!
