LSU forward Kavell Bigby-Williams has reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Charlotte Hornets. Here what an Exhibit 10 Contract is, according to SLAM.com:
quote:

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA contract with a specific Exhibit 10 attachment built into it and no other bonuses.
Bigby-Williams averaged 7.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game for the Tigers last season.

That is about $900,000 for anyone that is wondering. The Exhibit 10 has other clauses but the one-year min for a player with 0 years experience is $900K

This guy cane easily be an NBA player. Tall, block shots and rebound. Every team needs a guy like that to go give them 15 to 18 minutes a night.

That doesn’t explain what an Exhibit 10 contract is.

Exhibit 10 attachments allow the NBA team to convert a player’s one-year, minimum contract into a two-way contract but this has to occur prior to the start of the regular season Exhibit 10 attachments allow players to earn a bonus of $5,000 to $50,000 in the event that they are waived by the NBA team, then sign a deal with that franchise’s G League affiliate* and remain with that affiliate team for 60 days.
